Accessibility Statement

At Stayurban, we want our website and all its content to be easy to use and accessible for everyone.

What we do

Our website provides information about our apartments, life at Stayurban, and the services we offer.
We make sure that you can use our site with assistive technologies like screen readers or keyboard-only navigation.

You can increase font size, change color settings, or zoom in – and everything will remain readable and functional.

How we work

Accessibility is important to us. That’s why we consider accessibility from the very beginning – during planning, design, and development.
We follow established standards such as the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and Germany’s BITV 2.0.

What we’ve improved

  • Improved focus control in modals and dialogs for intuitive, accessible navigation

  • Enhanced keyboard navigation for interactive elements like tabs and menus (including ESC and arrow key support)

  • Added and tested skip links, correctly integrated into the tab order

  • Reviewed and optimized tab index for all interactive elements

  • Used semantic HTML for templates and components

  • Checked and corrected heading hierarchy

  • Added and improved ARIA attributes like aria-label, aria-expanded, and aria-hidden

  • Provided keyboard fallbacks for JavaScript functionality

  • Built accessible forms with optimized tab order, visible focus indicators, and larger touch targets

  • Reviewed and enhanced custom content blocks regarding HTML structure, ARIA attributes, headings, tab index, alt texts, and minimum touch targets (44px)

  • Defined clear focus styles and improved visual contrast for focus states

  • Verified font sizes, ensured a minimum of 16px, and used relative units (rem)

  • Optimized media queries for zoom and scaling

  • Implemented accessible navigation with screen reader text and pagination

  • Designed the cookie consent banner to meet accessibility requirements

  • Fixed general bugs and issues related to accessibility

  • Adjusted color contrasts to improve readability and ensure accessibility

  • Simplified language versions (Easy English) are currently in development.
